I’ve been in love with Italy since the first time I stepped foot there 20 years ago; the sights, sounds, people, wine, and of course the food! Italy is, without a doubt, my favorite travel destination, so much so, that it’s inspired me to write this blog. This is not the place for you if you want to read about Venice, Milan, or Pisa and all the other “must-see” places you’ll find in plenty of other travel blogs and books. Not to say that they’re all not fantastic, and worth a look, but they’ve been written about ad nauseam, and you can find tons of blogs, books, and tours to give you plenty of ideas there.
The Italy I’ve fallen in love with, is much more off the beaten path, full of car rides to the middle of nowhere, awkward “conversations” with locals, and towns you can barely find on a map, never mind a travel site. That’s where I’ve had the most fun and learned about the land, culture, and people that have most shaped my love of the country and inspired me to write this blog.
I’ve come to love not only actual travel but the entire planning and researching process. I’ve also discovered that I’m passionate about helping others plan their trips to Italy as well.
